An HEIC to PDF converter is a specialized image conversion tool that decodes High Efficiency Image File Format (HEIC) images and bundles them into a single or multi-page PDF document. Operating entirely client-side, it decodes the image binary buffers using local browser resources, preserving original photo quality and privacy.

How it works

This tool utilizes the heic2any library to convert HEIC/HEIF image formats into browser-compatible JPEG or PNG blobs locally.

Once the image blobs are decoded, they are read into binary array buffers and processed by the pdf-lib document engine. A new PDF is initialized, each image is embedded as a page element, and its dimensions are scaled to match the original photo pixels.

The resulting PDF is compiled as a raw byte array, loaded into a local Blob URL, and triggered as a browser download without any network uploads.

100% Client-Side. No files are transmitted to a server. You can safely convert private documents, photos, or receipts offline.
