This is an independently built site. There is no editorial board behind it and no credential being offered, so the only honest basis for trusting a number here is that you can check it. That shapes how the pages get written.
A calculator is expected to show the formula, walk one example through every step, and name the source of any figure it did not derive itself, along with the date that source was last read. It is also expected to say what it does not decide, because the limits of a tool are part of using it correctly. Where no source could be verified for a number, the page says the number is the tool's own assumption rather than dressing it up as established fact.
Those expectations are enforced by tests rather than good intentions. 56 calculators have been rebuilt to this standard so far, each with an automated suite that recomputes the figures printed in its prose and fails the page if they drift. Work continues through the rest.
If something here is wrong, corrections are welcome and get made at the source. The about page describes how errors are handled and what the review dates mean.
